The Earth Astrology Consultation begins by revealing the following earth elements attached to your birthday: your moon, animal, plant, mineral, spirit keeper, color and clan. Once these elements have been discussed I will teach you how to embark on your very own vision quest, which involves spending time alone in nature. ** Note: Although this is related to Native American traditions, I do not pretend to be a shaman or medicine man. I have not been given those rights. We all have the ability to communicate with nature, however, and this is what I teach.
It is alone in nature without the distractions of modern civilization that we are able to communicate directly with our higher selves, or 'spirit'. This has been done for thousands of years across nearly every indigenous culture throughout history.
STEP ONE | DISCOVER YOUR EARTH ELEMENTS : The first step in performing a vision quest is discovering various earth elements attached to your birthday. I will provide you with information about your moon, animal, plant, mineral, spirit keeper, color and clan. Once these elements have been discussed we will begin preparations for your very own vision quest. (Approximately 15 minutes)
STEP TWO | SET YOUR INTENTION: The next stop is setting an intention for your quest. This could be to gain clarity around a particular relationship, a health issue, your life purpose, or just to make a deep connection with nature. It's best to check in with my inner dialogue and listen to what is most important for your life at that point in time. (Approximately 15 minutes.)
STEP THREE | CHOOSE YOUR ENVIRONMENT: Once you have set your intention the next step is to find a spot in nature where you can be alone for anywhere from 30 minutes, to several hours. The actual amount of time is not critical. It's different for everyone. The most important factor is creating sacred space.
For example if you're in search of vision you may be drawn to mountain-tops. If you're searching for inner nurture you may be drawn to thick forested areas. If you're searching for movement on a certain issue, you may be drawn to a river, creek or an environment with moving water.
STEP FOUR | INSTRUCTIONS: After we have discussed your individual earth elements and set your intention, and chosen carefully the environment for which you will perform your ceremony, we will continue our consultation by using various oracles to obtain additional information surrounding your quest. I will also provide instructions on what to pay close attention to, and how to watch for various signs during your time in nature. (Approximately 30 Minutes)
STEP FIVE | ON YOUR OWN | YOUR VISION QUEST: At this point you will choose the date and time to embark on your quest. This is completely left up to each individual. Some may wish to perform the vision quest immediately after the consultation, while others may wait several weeks or months.
STEP SIX | FOLLOW-UP SESSION (Optional): After you've completed your vision quest you may discover that you have questions. Schedule a follow-up session for clarity.
